Genetics from Cold Stream Ranch's flock are now all over Canada. Their Texel sheep have been sold to producers in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Ontario, Quebec and Prince Edward Island. At the Classic, Mr. van der Laan also made a sale to some Mexican producers, who are looking to increase the quality of their flocks.

The Dutch Texel Produces a very lean carcass. By using a Dutch Texel Ram on our Dorsets, the crosses show a reduction in fat cover on the lambs and a higher dress out weight.
