Son of Dutch Pride (97K) is the product of our selective breeding program. This ram weights 195 pounds - Stands 28 inches at the shoulder and overall length has increased as well. Here at Cold Stream Ranch we have developed the size, without sacrificing the Dutch Texel muscularity that they are known for. 97K's offspring (ewes and rams) show the same characteristic and traits. |

The Dutch Texel Produces a very lean carcass by using a Dutch Texel Ram on our Dorsets, the crosses show a reduction in fat cover on the lambs and a higher dress out weight. | ||

| The Texel has a higher feed to meat conversion than our commercials. The Texel is calm and easy to handle. The mature weight of a Dutch Texel ram has increased to 195 to 220 lbs. and the ewe 145 to 155 lbs.
